Kaelin's 6 month pics... and Nate too!

Okay...I know he's 7 months now...buut, as most of you know, I've had issues with my 'puter. I would try to edit pics and it would take longer than this impatient woman could handle and if I didn't get it done before 4, there was NO chance, because Justin is on the computer from the minute he gets home until late doing homework ( I can't wait until this Master's Degree business is finally over and I can have my hubby back)! So anyway, blah, blah, blah... rambling on and on and on......So Justin built us a new 'puter! YAY!!! Happiness! So here are my absolutely adorable kids! Aren't they just so stinkin' cute!!!!

More Fish Lake pics

Pathway to the other side of the lake. It was really pretty there.

For some reason, blogger wouldn't let me add more pics to the previous post, so here are some more: Ash and Nate were intrigued by this huge lady bug.

Luke!!! How could you not love that face! He's such a choncho. I just want to squish those cheeks.

Fish Lake ... July 2010

This year was the first of hopefully many yearly get-togethers with my fam. We decided to go to Fish Lake and had so much fun! It was so pretty and we stayed in these "rustic" cabins. It was a lot of fun. However, for those of you who think Fish Lake might be a good place to go fishing... there are no fish in Fish Lake! ;)

Playing Catchup: Kaelin Pics

Do to popular demand, I have returned to post yet another post. Although I had previously decided to give up on the posting, guilt has brought me back once again. More pics to come later....someday......maybe..... ;)

"Dead Feet" I did a terrible job at editing this pic of Justin and Kaelin's feet. I was thinking of photoshoping a D.O.A. tag on their toes.

Mischievous Nate

These pics obviously need to
be edited...

Nate has been a bit mischievous lately. One day I was in my room and I heard this thud, then Kaelin started screaming. Before I could even open my door I heard the hussle of little Nate footsteps scurrying up the stairs as fast as he could. Low and behold, I found Kaelin on the floor just wailing (he was asleep in his swing when I went into my room). I have told Nate several times to not pick up his little brother unless he asks us. He doesn't listen.

Another time N8 was wanting to play with a serving fork he found in a drawer. I told him "No, because it's sharp and you could hurt yourself with it." Why he wanted to play with a serving fork is beyond me. Anyway, later that day, I was on the couch talking to my mom on the phone when N8 comes running out of the kitchen hiding something (the serving fork, of course) trying to make a break for the stairs to his room. He's acting mischievous and undermining me on almost everything. Just when I thought he was doing well adjusting to not having the world revolve around him anymore...

More Kaelin pics...I haven't taken the time to edit any of these yet, but I just thought I would throw some up here for everyone who hasn't seen him yet.

Kaelin Wyman Redd

Okay, so I've been rebuked too many times. I guess I'm just lazy. Put off til tomorrow what you don't want to do today...it's a little adage I live by...I've been promising to post pics and tell about our new little installment in the Redd household for 3 weeks now. So, here goes...

We had been having problems w our online profile. The agency was in the middle of changing over to a new site and it had lots of bugs they were trying to work out. For example, when we tried to change something on our profile, it wouldn't save. It was frustrating. That was just one of the problems we were having. Anyway, I had just decided to take a break from it for awhile as we were moving and I was lazy..er...I mean life was crazy! No, I really did need a break from it. It was discouraging.

So, on the night of September 30th, I suddenly decided to see if I could figure out what the deal w this profile thing...I found an address on our references that had the city, state, and zip on one line. So I fixed that and it worked! All the bugs must have been worked out, cuz it said we were able to go online. So, the next morn I called our caseworker and he posted us online. Later that day, around noon, my sis-in-law, Roxy came over w her kidlets and I went to our profile to show it to her and it wasn't there anymore! I didn't know what was going on. I was so bugged. It was online that morning and now it was gone. What was going on!?!?! !@&^%$#...anyhow... We got a call from our caseworker later that evening and he said a caseworker in SLC had taken our profile offline cuz we were picked! Hijole! In a matter of just a few hours, our birth mom came into the agency, saw or profile, and said, "That's the couple!" She had only seen a few other profiles and she said she just knew right away that we were the right couple to raise her baby! Yeah...pretty incredible! You can't tell me that wasn't anything short of a miracle!

I'm so grateful for my precious boys! I know without a doubt in my heart they were supposed to come to our family! I have been reminded many times of how much the Lord's hand has been in adopting N8 and Kaelin. I don't know what I would ever do without my sweet boys!

I'll have to post the whole adoption experience (and some pics) later. My bootie is getting sore and K is not happy right now. So, this post is to be continued....
